Where Should We Go?

Favorite Trips

Autumn in Amherst, MA

On the hunt for some beautiful October foliage color, Scott and I headed out to Amherst in western MA to do some exploring with Maisy!

Our first stop was the Amherst Farmer’s Market…nestled among some of Amherst College’s beautiful collegiate buildings on the Amherst Town Common.

This farmer’s market is a gem and has all of your local market favorites…

Views and Brews, Brattleboro VT

It was a busy weekend…drop off for our son at University of Vermont and Scott’s birthday!  We have truly fallen in love with everything Vermont – stunning mountain views, breweries, wineries, skiing, general stores, anything maple, scenic country roads – and we always try to explore when we are in the area for our son.

This weekend was no different and after drop off, we spent the next 24 hours celebrating Scott’s birthday with views and brews!

Our destination was Brattleboro, but on our way from UVM we started the celebration at Bent Hill Brewery.

Biking and Kayaking the Charles

Just when I think I have seen all of Boston’s beauty, she finds a way to surprise me!  Today Scott and I headed into Boston to bike and kayak The Charles River.  I have passed this river hundreds of times by car but I am usually too busy checking my GPS or trying to maneuver city traffic to truly appreciate the scenery…so I was very excited to explore at a slower pace today.

Glamping Weekend Day 1

For our  21st Anniversary we decided to head to Bartlett NH in the White Mountains for the weekend-mostly because I heard about the opening of  Alpine Garden Glamping’s boutique cabin/camper village and thought it would be something unique for us to try.

The day we left, the weather forecast looked perfect so we stopped to hike West Rattlesnake Mountain Trail (via Old Bridle Path), a trail I pinned on my map years ago.  It was located near Holderness, NH and took us a little out of our way to Bartlett NH, but it was so worth it!

Biking Old Colony Rail Trail, Harwich to Chatham MA

The Cape has such great biking trails (Shining Sea and Cape Cod Rail Trails just to name 2) but we were spending the holiday weekend in Mashpee and wanted to try something new.  After doing some research, we decided to check out the lesser known 8 mile Old Colony Rail Trail from Harwich to Chatham.  Having been to Chatham briefly years ago, I was so excited to explore this seaside Cape Cod town!
